James Beard Award-winning Chef Michael Schwartz will return to the kitchen at Michael’s Genuine for a limited-edition dinner series, In Session with Michael Schwartz, throughout September and October. During the intimate dinner series, 10 guests will receive a front-row seat to witness the craft behind the iconic Design District restaurant.
Guests will be seated at the Chef’s Table where Schwartz will prepare a surprise seven-course menu inspired by a different culinary region. Each dinner offers a completely unique experience along with curated cocktail and wine pairings by Beverage Director Amanda Fraga. The series will explore:
- Lebanon, September 8: Olive oil, seafood, lamb, yogurt, herbs, preserved lemon, chiles and warm spices
- India, September 22: Spices, tandoor and live-fire cooking, seafood, vegetables, chutneys, breads and slow-cooked meats
- Georgia, October 6: Walnuts, herbs, pomegranate, cheeses, breads, grilled meats and bold sauces
- Mexico, October 27: The flavors of Oaxaca, the Yucatán and beyond, with chiles, masa, smoke, citrus, achiote, moles and seafood

Two seatings will be held at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and priced at $200 per guest including the seven-course menu, welcome cocktail, and wine pairings. Guests interested in experiencing all four dinners can receive 10 percent-off the full series.
