The Driving Force Behind The Craig Zinn Automotive Group
Forever philanthropists, Craig Zinn and his wife Martine.
Recognized in the automotive sales and services industry for his renowned work ethic and attention to detail, Craig Zinn, president and CEO of The Craig Zinn Automotive Group, has earned his spot at the top. The Zinn family has a long history within the automotive industry, beginning in 1955 when Zinn’s father sold Lincolns in New York City and later sold Chevys in Miami Beach. In 1965, Zinn’s father opened Florida’s first Toyota dealership. As a child, Zinn spent hours aiding his father with the family business. With the experience gained throughout his life in detailing, servicing and as a sales consultant, he garnered the tools needed to take a dream and build it. The infallible service and automotive care his father offered lived on and inspired Zinn to begin his own chain of South Florida dealership locations.
In 1981, with his family’s support, Zinn purchased his first dealership, Toyota of Hollywood, with a staff of 79 working under him. The dealership underwent a renovation in 1983. Then in 1987, Craig Zinn purchased and renovated an old supermarket into the new Toyota of Hollywood dealership, located across the street from the original location. Countyline Lexus was born shortly after in 1989, and the acquisition of Hollywood Pontiac followed in 1994. Lexus of Pembroke Pines then opened its doors in 1998, followed by Pines Pontiac Buick GMC in 1999, Palm Beach Acura in 2001, and Hollywood Scion and Acura of South Florida (now Acura of Pembroke Pines) in 2004. Starting in 2007, Zinn opened two Spyker locations. Craig Zinn now has nine franchise locations, with his newest, Lexus of North Miami, on the way. With locations ranging from Hollywood and Pembroke Pines to West Palm Beach, The Craig Zinn Automotive Group offers Toyota, Lexus, Acura, GMC, Pontiac, Buick, Scion and Spyker products for its clients.
For Zinn, a positive work environment equals a positive payoff, and client appreciation is the ultimate goal. His motto: “It is the mutual responsibility of the dealership and its associates to embrace the traditions of quality, honesty, integrity and excellence in both personal and professional relationships.” This philosophy has proven successful and is exemplified by high client service scores, long-term associates, a distinguished list of awards and undeniable growth.
Forever the philanthropists, Zinn and his wife Martine are active members of the Anti-Defamation League and the Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options. They also support many other organizations and charities including Young At Art Children’s Museum, where they established the “Vision of an Eco-Friendly Earth” art contest to teach children about fuel and economic efficiency in transportation. “We were thrilled to recently host such an educational, fun and inspirational event that allowed us to be involved with our community’s ‘green’ initiative,” Zinn says. “With the construction of our new eco-friendly Lexus dealership underway in North Miami, we strive to encourage South Floridians to work toward making our world a healthier and safer place.”
Set to open in June of this year, Lexus of North Miami will feature a Lexus Showroom with a parking structure to hold an inventory of up to 2,000 automobiles, and will also offer a service and parts facility with 116 service bays. In addition, the 1 million plus sq. ft. facility will feature an innovative Lexus Lifestyle Center. The resort-like center will be designed to allow clients access to the finest facilities for consultation and first class amenities, respecting their time and health. The center will include a Club Lexus lifestyle and fitness center, juice bar and lounge, concierge service, spa treatments, massage therapy chairs, make-up consultations, Lexus boutique, a café, children’s play area, and a wireless business center. The dealership will also forge relationships with select, premiere boutiques to assist with personal shopping services for clients.
