How they make it fun: We go shopping together and for lunch.

Pushover or a disciplinarian? Half and half. I tend to feel sorry for them and I don’t want them to be unhappy; however, when it pertains to something that can be harmful to them, then my disciplinary half comes to play.

What do you do for yourself during “me time” to ensure you stay sane and keep yourself looking and feeling good? A massage or a facial always relaxes me and takes me away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I also love doing Pilates, which my eldest enjoys doing with me.

Why do you think it’s important that, as a mother, you continue to pursue your personal interests and activities? It keeps me active and fulfills my needs as well as keeping me young. Also, once the girls leave for school, it won’t be as painful for me to be alone and have to get used to a new routine.

What is the most important quality you can instill in your children? To always do their very best in everything they do and behave with integrity.

From the mouths of babes: The day I got home after having a facelift, feeling all knocked out from the anesthesia, my little one, Lily, told me that my ears were put on backwards. At the moment I was all confused, but now I guess it was a funny thing to say. I was so out of it that I believed her and ran to the mirror.
